When we fear something we just don’t know what to do. We are not sure what is going to happen and we are not sure that we understand what is making us fearful. We love to watch scary movies but at the same time we are afraid of the dark. We like snowboarding but we worry about avalanches. We like deep sea diving but we are afraid of sharks. The point is this, that no matter what it is that you fear, if you take charge and face your fear the odds are that you are going to feel much better when you put your fears away and focus on the outcome.

Now, what is procrastination and what does it have to do with fear. Procrastination is what we do when we don’t want to do something. We will rationalize and tell ourselves that we will take care of business tomorrow. We rationalize that we can take care of things later. We are afraid to commit to the moment. We are afraid to move out of our certain comfort zone. Sure we have the right intentions when we put things off, but they are not focused intentions. They are what I like to call scatter brain intentions. I call them that because that is what they are. They are all over the proverbial road. If we had a particular goal and we kept putting it off, do you suppose that we would eventually accomplish that goal? I would guess that one would never reach that goal until the focus was on the goal. But, that is not all that we would have to do, we would have to take the action or actions towards that certain goal. We would have to get off of our soft end and move on things TODAY! Sure there are those who would say, “I’ll do that tomorrow”, and then go back to sleep. They continue to invest in the illusionary world of tomorrow. They fail to see that yesterday no longer exists and that tomorrow is an illusion. They don’t realize that the only real time is right now, this moment, this day. They fail to invest in themselves TODAY. Why? Maybe we fail to take action TODAY because we are afraid that we may fail. Or, maybe we are afraid that we may succeed and we would not know how to handle success.

So you see my friends fear and procrastination are brothers, brothers who can work together to defeat you, or to help you to succeed. You can use fear and procrastination to avoid YOUR successes. And, you can use fear and procrastination to your demise.

YOU decide, but do it TODAY. I can help you to get started, visit me.

http://www.focusedintentionscoaching.com/

Paycheck to Paycheck

Are you tired of living from paycheck to paycheck? Are you tired of robbing Peter to pay Paul? Does it seem like the bills never end? How long will you plan to keep on doing what you're doing? What are you going to do about it? Nothing? I could be wrong, but maybe you like living from paycheck to paycheck. It's funny how life has its ups and downs and how we tolerate them, or we change them. Sure we cannot make them disappear but we can lighten them a bit.. And how would we accomplish that monumental task. One thing we can do almost immediately is to make a decision. We can make a decision to change. Right now, at this moment, we can step out of our comfort zone and take some action. I know, it is a little difficult to just stop
doing what we are doing and take a whole new course. Sometimes that is the only way to
change. When you want to make more money you can't just sit there and expect it to come to you in a magic bag.

There is a story about a little boy who wanted more.He was the kind of kid who was willing to take a chance. One of the chances that he took was to sell candy and newspapers on the trains. This was good but he wanted more so he added vegetables as one of his money making products. He did very well, considering he was just a child. He was very comfortable ding what he doing. He knew what he was doing and he did it very well. He was in a comfort zone. But, he still wanted more. So he took a chance and tried other ventures. Along the way he uncovered some skills that he was not even aware that he had. He was a businessman with businessman skills. These newly found skills subsequently helped him to found his own company. Now that was an accomplishment that would be enough for many of us, but not for him, he wanted more. He went about his daily activities working on one project after another. He started to dabble in inventions and he had quite a few. Despite all of his small inventions he was still not satisfied. He was comfortable, but not satisfied. He went on to accomplish a lot more, and he was very successful. I think one of his most successful inventions was the longer lasting light bulb.

The lessons to be learned here are many. Even though he did not know what the future had in store for him---he took a chance. He found talents that he did not know that he had. He accomplished things that he would not have happened if he did not get out ofhis comfort zone. He refused to settle----he went for it. He took a risk and found that he could fly,

Are you going to settle? Are you going to continue to live from paycheck to paycheck? Are you going to stay in your comfort zone, or are going to make that change....take that risk?

The choice is yours.......its all yours. Discover your hidden talents.

So where are you going? That is the question that you must answer. Not for anyone else, just for you.

That brings us to our second step on the path of personal success. Write it down, write it down, write it down. I cannot say that enough. When you finally know what you want you are closer to reaching your goal. But unless you write it down it remains confined to the inside of your head. Once you write it down it gains some substance. It holds you accountable to your goal. Now when I say write it down, I don’t mean just write one word or one sentence. I mean write everything associated with your goal. Write down every detail. Be very specific. Write down what you’ll do, when you will do it, how you will do it. Do not skip any details. Someone once said “it’s all in the details…”.

Step three….Do It Today!! If you put it off you are putting off what you want. If you really want it you won’t put it off. If you put in the work the possibilities are unlimited. But you have to put in the work. Nothing is going to magically land on your lap, however you can have, be or do whatever you want. You can reach your dreams, but not without putting in the work.

So what are you going to do?

Do
yourself some justice - give your self some credit.

From this point forward look for the opportunities in you life - make the most
of them. Make a commitment to succeed. Continually reinforce that
commitment by taking the necessary actions. Do "What ever it takes".

If you are not sure where to start or you just want a little boost, I can help.

Visit me at http://focusedintentionscoaching.com/ and let us get started

Take it EASY

Take it EASY!
